Sacralin Bio Caps are composed entirely of sodium alginate and as such are already certified biodegradable and approved for food contact.

Packaging & Food Contact Substances (FCS) | FDA
Sodium alginate is a food contact substance that does not require additional approval for food contact or biodegradability testing as it is already approved. This is because sodium alginate is a sodium salt of alginic acid, which is a natural polyuronide constituent of certain brown algae. It is prepared by the neutralization of purified alginic acid with appropriate pH control agents. The ingredient meets the specifications of the Food Chemicals Codex, 3d Ed. (1981), p. 274, which is incorporated by reference.
