“How Sacralin Works”

Nature’s Polymer System, Engineered for Industry

Sacralin™ is built on structural polysaccharides — natural polymers found in seaweeds and plants. These polymers form strong, flexible, thermoformable networks without petroleum chemistry.

Core Components:

-Agar — structural backbone
-Sodium Alginate — strength & crosslinking
-Glycerin — flexibility & resilience
Together they form a thermoplastic-like material that behaves beautifully under heat and pressure.

Thermal Behavior

-Pseudo-melt range: 155–185°C
-Rapid set on cooling
-Predictable shear thinning
-Tunable flexibility
Similar process behavior to LDPE/PLA blends.

Processing Compatibility

-Extrusion
-Injection molding
-Sheet & film lines
-Thermoforming
-Pelletizing
No equipment modifications needed.

Environmental Science

Sacralin degrades through:

-Microbial digestion
-Hydrolysis
-Network dissolution
-Enzymatic breakdown
Produces no microplastic fragments, ever.
